Safety Training and Field Audit Services

Our Safety team are equipped to provide Safety Training, Safety Audits, Customized Field Audits and Safety Supervision. We can also assist with customized training program development or incident investigation.

Our Offerings!

 

Fall Protection Equipment Inspection

This instructor led full day course is industry recognized. Training includes fundamentals of working at heights, fall hazards identification, fall protection oversite, passive systems, administrative controls, OH&S requirements, fall calculations, fall protection equipment , emergency response, suspension trauma, end user inspection of equipment is also covered . This training is conducted at our facility but can also be conducted at your location at no extra cost.

 

Confined Space Entrant & Attendant

This instructor led full day course includes confined space identification, hazard categories, Confined space oversite, Roles & responsibilities (Supporting roles, Attendant, Entrant), hazard controls, Testing and normalizing atmospheres, Pre, entry, and post-entry protocols, emergency response and permit requirements. This course can be taught to meet Alberta or British Columbia requirements.

 

Alcohol & Drug Reasonable Suspicion Training

This comprehensive half day course covers reasonable suspicion training and is designed for Management, Supervision and others tasked with deciding when/how to request a D/A test . It includes a comprehensive review of the Canadian Model and reviews forms and procedures for anyone who has this as part of their responsibilities. This in-depth course includes steps that should be taken to ensure all industry best practices are followed. Students review and participate in real cases that have been to arbitration. A review of provincial human rights is also covered. Students completing this course leave with real answers and a clear path for requesting D/A testing from a worker and clear path forward.

 

Forklift

This full day course includes classroom and practical components. This course is recommended to be taught at your site using the equipment your workers will be operating, if needed it can be taught at our location. Forklifts injure many workers every year and having operators that are trained is critical to minimizing accidents.

This course is available as a full day instructor led, or it can be delivered online to your students at their availability with the practical portion completed at your locations by our certified instructors. This blended delivery allows students to take the classroom portion anytime then book a practical evaluation with the instructors. This saves time and money and offers the most flexibility.

Telehandler

Telehandlers are also known as Zoom Booms, extended reach forklift and  rough terrain forklift. This full day instructor led course teaches the student all aspects of operating a telehandler . This course combines in class learning with practical training and evaluation. Training includes pre use inspection, hazard assessments, site hazards and equipment operating principles.

Dr. Michael McGrath

Mike is a well experienced and multi-faceted workplace learning leader and professional with over 20 years experience in the area of adult and workplace education, curriculum design and development, instructional design, teaching and instruction, employee recruiting (HR) and professional development, competency based training and assessment, educational technology and online learning.

As a Workplace Learning, Leadership, and Competency Professional Mike brings a broad range of experience in a diverse cross section of industries including energy, resources, utilities, transportation, manufacturing, construction, education, financial services, military and engineering.

Mike holds numerous degrees including a Ph.D. in Adult Education.

 

Paul Steele

Paul is an experienced Safety Professional and brings 20+ years experience to the training team. Paul has managed safety for projects and clients that include EnCana, Amazon, Cenovus, BP, Google, Chevron and others. Paul maintains a Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation. Paul also maintains several instructor certifications and has been developing and conducting training for companies for many years.
